This post comes to us from our Texas associate member, the Texas Association of Community Health Centers:

With more than 70 member centers throughout the state, the Texas Association of Community Health Centers (TACHC) Recruitment and Retention Department serves as a valuable resource to its members by recruiting high quality healthcare professionals and improving overall staff retention.

Texas Community Health Centers have been caring for families for more than 25 years and the R&R team is dedicated to providing essential support in recruiting passionate, high-caliber medical, dental and behavioral health providers. Recruitment support is also offered for c-level administrative executive staff and advance practitioners (NPs/PAs).

TACHC's multi-specialty clinics offer medical technology and most include on-site labs, and pharmacy. While each Center has its own unique style, benefit and incentive packages, the R&R team strives to recruit t mission-driven, dedicated providers and leaders who are seeking to serve in a community with passion and purpose. See what Dr. Ron Peron, Medical Director at Community Health Service Agency (CHSA) has to say about his experience:

“I have served at Community Health Service Agency, an FQHC based in Greenville, Texas, on three different occasions: for a single year as a staff physician, returning two years later as Medical Director for 6 years and since 2012 practicing as Chief Medical Officer. I have learned much from the variety of professional settings in which I have worked, and I believe that FQHCs are the best model for meeting the primary and preventive care needs of patients irrespective of their income and insurance status. FQHCs are proven to be a cost-effective way to deliver care utilizing its prevention model with high-quality primary care.  Physicians who work in the Health Centers around the nation are committed to caring for patients who have very complicated medical, social and financial lives.  It is hard, but satisfying work. Each day I come to work I am making a positive impact and it is a real pleasure being part of a team that indeed cares for the population we serve. “
