Suzette Hohwieler is a Physician Recruiter for Avera McKennan in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She and her organization use 3RNet to help meet their recruitment needs for their upper Midwest based health care system, Avera.
“We’ve used 3RNet for many years—when I came on board in 2001, the 3RNet was a tool in sourcing candidates and already a part of our recruitment process,” Suzette said.
Suzette and her team at Avera use 3RNet for several reasons:
“It’s been successful for us! We’ve had a number of physicians that have signed with Avera through the 3RNet,” Suzette said. “The website is very easy to use, easy to update, and many improvements have been made over the years.”
3RNet is a recruitment tool for Suzette and the other physician recruiters with Avera, and Suzette knows 3RNet is helping her fill difficult searches of recruiting providers.
“3RNet does a lot of advertising and getting the word out about the website to physicians and advanced practice providers—drawing them to the website to look at posted opportunities,” she added.
Suzette uses 3RNet’s job board to post all new Avera positions. Jacob Parsons, South Dakota’s 3RNet member, is accessible to answer any questions in the process.
“On a monthly basis, we receive via email all of the candidates who have posted their information on the South Dakota 3RNet page. Jacob sends the candidates in a way that is easy for us to view, and ultimately, easy to connect with candidates interested in working and living in the great state of South Dakota,” Suzette said.
“We use a number of other job boards to post our opportunities. What is great about 3RNet—there is no charge to post positions. We love that aspect of being able to post for free and receive good candidate leads,” Suzette said. “The value of 3RNet is having candidates to contact. We like that 3RNet is a website where providers are being driven to the website to post their information—they’re seeking us out rather than the other way around. The candidates can pinpoint where they want to live and practice in their specialty, and then Avera physician recruiters can follow up with physicians and advanced practice proviers who are seeking jobs in South Dakota. That’s huge, in the face of physician shortages.”
Last year, Avera was able to sign a pulmonary critical care physician sourced through 3RNet. “He is a very caring physician and fits into the culture of our health organization in providing excellent care to patients. He is a great asset to the community of Sioux Falls as well as our health system,” Suzette said.
