Love the outdoors? Come live and work in the unparalleled playground of central Oregon!

Central Oregon is high desert country, with less than 12” of rainfall per year. Summer days are warm and sunny, cooling quickly at night. Winters bring deep, dry, powdery snow to the mountains and occasional snowfall at lower elevations.

When you want to get out and play, there are world renowned destinations to choose from. Smith Rock State Park is famous for rock climbing, and the Deschutes River attracts rafters and kayakers to its blend of stunning scenery and fantastic rapids. The region hosts the Pacific Amateur Golf Classic, in addition to the 20+ golf courses in the area. Mt. Bachelor and Hoodoo Ski Area offer downhill and cross country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and even dog sledding.

Ready for some hiking and camping? Head over to Mt. Jefferson, Mt. Washington, and the Three Sisters Wilderness areas. After days spent hiking, cycling, horseback riding, fishing, camping, or enjoying some snow sports, there are multitudes of cultural activities to choose from.

The Museum at Warm Springs celebrates the rich culture of the Confederated Tribes, and the High Desert Museum in Bend offers natural and cultural history, as well as scheduled activities all year.

This region is a top rated destination for events occurring year round. From the annual craft beer festivals, to dog shows, quilt shows, Shakespeare in the Park, weekly Art Walks, free summer concerts, rodeo, tax-free shopping, and so much more – there’s something for everyone here. This region is wildly popular for many reasons, so if you find a position of interest, apply right away!
