Nantucket is located 30 miles off the coast of Cape Cod and with quiet harbors, dramatic cliffs, sandy beaches, beautiful old mansions and gardens, Nantucket seems to have it all. Like Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket is a tourist destination and summer colony with an active small year round population. The National Park Service has designated the entire island as a National Historic District as the island features one of the highest concentrations of pre-Civil War structures in the United States. Nantucket, formerly a very successful whaling port, still maintains an active fishing fleet today. Not only a destination for tourists, it is also an attractive place to live and raise a family.
Nantucket is served by Nantucket Cottage Hospital which is a fully licensed, Joint Commission accredited community hospital affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital and Partners Health Care in Boston.
