The West Virginia Health Professions Recruitment Program, located within the West Virginia State Office of Rural Health, can assist you with placement opportunities in the beautiful state of West Virginia. Our program assists hospitals, private group practices, and primary care centers statewide with the recruitment and retention of primary care physicians, sub-specialists, dentist, and other health care professionals.
If you are a foreign medical graduate, West Virginia participates in the Conrad 30 J-1 Visa Waiver Program for sub-specialists and primary care providers and the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) J-1 Visa Waiver Program for primary care providers.
We utilize the State Loan Repayment Program, the Recruitment & Retention Community Project, J-1 Visa Waiver Programs, and the National Health Service Corps as placement enhancements. Our placement services and the J-1 Visa placement services are all free of charge.
