Scope-Purpose
A dental assistant in the state of Missouri may perform basic supportive dental procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist.
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):Receive and prepare patients and operatories for dental treatment.Take digital x-rays.Using four-handed dentistry, assist with dental procedures, complete charting electronically, provide patient preventive education and oral hygiene instruction.Follow current infection control protocols…
