How long have you lived in Utah? Why do you choose to live there?
I was born and raised in Utah and have been here for 43 years. I choose to live here because of the friendliness of the people, the great economy, amazing outdoor opportunities and a great location to raise a family.
How is 3RNet impacting Utah?
3RNet is impacting our state by allowing facilities and organizations from rural and underserved areas to specifically reach individuals who are wanting the jobs they have.
What are the best cultural events that happen in Utah?
One holiday that is exclusively for Utah is on July 24 our state celebrates the anniversary of the day the original Mormon pioneers finished their treacherous thousand-mile journey and entered the Salt Lake valley in 1847. Festivities are held in most every community in Utah and in Salt Lake City a parade and Days of 47 rodeo are major highlights.
Why should a health professional choose Utah over surrounding states?
Utah has the best of everything, from world-class skiing in the winter (we hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics), to the fact we have five national parks in Utah (Arches National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Capitol Reef National Park, and Zion National Park). We have beautiful mountain ranges with world-class hiking, camping and exploring.

Our amazing snow that provides awesome skiing opportunities, and visiting the national parks. An individual or family can come and within a matter of days visit five National Parks – that is pretty amazing. We also have amazing mountain ranges that provide camping, hiking and other outdoor adventures. Hunting and fishing are also abundant.

We have a robust and very diversified industry, as Utah is a big state and the industry can be different in different areas of the state. Large industries include information technology, tourism, mining, agriculture, manufacturing, finance and petroleum production.
How is the weather/climate in Utah?
We have all four seasons in many areas of the state, but for those who don’t like the cold weather you can choose to live in Southern Utah where the climate stays warmer and they rarely see snow.
