Tell us a bit about your Valley View Health Center and Chehalis.
We are a busy and growing community health center located in southwest Washington.We are a non-profit, federally qualified health center committed to providing quality integrated medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services to families and individuals of all ages, regardless of the ability to pay. We currently have 13 locations, serving patients in three counties. Valley View Health Center has provided over 655,700 patient visits since 2004. We are continually expanding our services to include more clinic locations, new services in specialties for behavioral health, pediatrics, and pharmacy.

We are very community-oriented. And we have a great location: we are located on the I-5 Corridor half way between Seattle and Portland. We also have affordable housing in the area.
Tell us about your connection to 3RNet.
3RNet is a great resource to advertise our openings for individuals interested in community health. These individuals understand rural/community health so they are the ideal candidates for our open positions.
Why do you think you’re successful with your recruitment and retention efforts?
Our recruitment team consists of the CEO, HR Director, Clinical Director and other provider staff throughout the process. We have a great staff and I think that reflects in our recruitment efforts! Candidates are able to experience Valley View Health Center when they come for an interview and are able to interact with other staff and get a feel for our work environment and the community we serve. For retention we care about our employees, have an open door policy, work on committees together and have a great compensation packet with benefits.
Share a piece of advice! What would you tell someone who is recruiting?
Seek out those individuals who are mission driven and have a desire to be in community health. In the long run those individuals are more likely to be dedicated and thrive in this type of environment and stay with your organization.
