Jai Medical Center has been proudly serving the Baltimore community for 50 years. The organization owns and operates six primary care medical centers throughout Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Five of these locations are located in health professional shortage areas, making them eligible for programs such as the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) program and the Conrad 30 J1 Visa Waiver program.
Jai Medical Center uses programs like NHSC and the J1 Waiver program, along with posting their health care job opportunities on 3RNet, as ways to make their recruitment efforts more competitive on a national basis. Their hard work has been paying off! JMC has successfully recruited two pediatricians through 3RNet that will be joining their practice this summer.
For Jai Medical Center, their recruiting success through 3RNet comes down to two keys: one, what they communicate to candidates; and two, what 3RNet communicates to them as a facility posting jobs on our site.
Jai Medical Center uses their job postings on 3RNet to help communicate their mission-driven culture. Ms. Sophia Lloyd serves as the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Director of Management and Strategic Planning. She shared with us, “A big part of what we communicate to candidates is our dedication to service. A provider joining our organization will need to understand our history and those that they will be serving include a very vulnerable population. We are looking for providers who share our mission and our goals in ensuring access to high quality healthcare for all individuals regardless of their ability to pay.”
Jai Medical Center is able to promote their job openings on a national level through 3RNet, but it’s also what they get from 3RNet that sets it apart from other job boards for JMC.
“Each month, our contact from the State, Ms. Temi Oshiyoye, shares an excel spreadsheet of any provider who is interested in practicing medicine in the State of Maryland. It is from that listing that I am immediately able to outreach to multiple providers. I do not know of any other job site that provides information to us like that,” Lloyd said.
Lloyd continued, “If we have any questions related to physician or provider recruitment, the J1 program, or loan repayment program, we look to Ms. Oshiyoye. We have reached out to her on those matters in the past and she has always been very helpful.”
We are so happy that Jai Medical Center found such extraordinary success by using 3RNet!
