Jona Gorra, M.D., FACP is a practicing Internal Medicine physician, managing partner of two practices: DC Medical Services, LLC and Seaford Internal Medicine, LLC in Delaware, and uses 3RNet to post jobs and find physicians interested in joining her practice.
“We post jobs through 3RNet and Joan Barnwell (3RNet’s Delaware member) forwards information on candidates to us,” Dr. Gorra said. “We’ve been able to recruit two or three physicians through 3RNet. Joan makes it very easy.”
For Dr. Gorra, getting started with 3RNet was easy.
“There was not much work from my side. The first time I advertised the need for physicians, I entered my information and after that, sometimes I would get an email. Sometimes I get an email to update a job that we have already posted on the site, but that’s easy to do. Joan also forwards the information of the applicants to me. A few times they emailed me directly because they saw my ad on 3RNet,” Dr. Gorra said.
From the referrals that Joan sends, Dr. Gorra is able to reach out to candidates she think may be a good fit for her practice.
“I view their information, and if I find that they would most likely fit in the position I was trying to fill, I would give them a call, ask them what kind of practice they would like to do: specialist, outpatient, etcetera, and if it seems like a good fit I arrange an interview,” Dr. Gorra said. “If they like the place and agree to our contract, they sign up.”
Dr. Gorra’s practices include a group of internists who provide mostly outpatient and nursing home care. She’s been practicing medicine for 17 years and founded her current practice.
Running two practices and seeing patients is enough to keep anyone busy! Through Joan’s work, Dr. Gorra has found a resource she can count on to help in her recruitment efforts.
“Prior to Joan Barnwell forwarding me information from 3RNet, I advertised in medical journals. 3RNet is more successful and of course no expense,” Dr. Gorra said. “I’ve been able to interview more physicians through 3RNet than I was able to through advertising elsewhere. 3RNet has been a great resource for us – very much so. There’s no comparison.”
