Hill Country Lakes, spring-fed rivers, and rolling hills make up just some of the natural beauty of the Central Texas landscape. It is a land of many springs, stoney hills, and steep canyons making this region the home of many rare plants and animals found NOWHERE else on earth.
River rafts, canoes and sailboats are as common a sight as cowboy boots in this part of the state. The bloom of spring wildflowers, including the state flower, the bluebonnet, turns already lovely green hills into breath-taking sights. This region is also the host of the Texas State Capitol in Austin, Texas, the city that hosts the South-By-Southwest Music (SXSW) and Austin City Limits Music Festivals each year.
There is always something going on in this part of the state, making boredom virtually impossible!
