Awe-inspiring monuments, such as Mount Rushmore National Monument, Crazy Horse Memorial, and carefully preserved historical areas such as the old west town of Deadwood make this region well known throughout the nation for its variety of things to see and do. Locals are proud to live where the buffalo roam, and visitors delight in the opportunity to view herds roaming freely at Custer State Park. The most common theme from visitors to the area is that there wasn’t enough time to fully enjoy all the area has to offer. A simple solution would be to make this area your home!

You will find a number of natural attractions throughout the region, such as hot springs, crystal caves, nature trails, lakes, rivers, and the beauty of the Badlands.

Educational opportunities include a total of six universities, two-year institutions, and vocational training programs. One of the state’s three main medical networks, Rapid City Regional, is also located in the region and provides a variety of facilities and healthcare jobs throughout the area.
