Elgin, nested in the rolling hills of southwestern North Dakota, offers a quiet lifestyle with a population of approximately 544 and there are several businesses as well as Jacobson Memorial Hospital Care Center. The Lions host "Hamburgers in the Park" every Friday evening, selling quality made hamburgers, cheeseburgers and hotdogs; different community groups join in and sell a wide variety of individual slices of pie.
