We are looking for a mission driven Medical Assistant to join our team!

The Triage Medical Assistant, under the direction of a provider, works under the general supervision of the Triage Nurse Manager as part of the medical team.  The Triage Medical Assistant is responsible for abiding by policies and procedures of the OneWorld Community Health Centers while performing the clinical and clerical duties necessary to meet the goal of providing primary healthcare. They work primarily from home, but report to work in the clinic on a rotating basis.  

These are full-time positions located at the Women's Health Center, Northwest Omaha Clinic, West Omaha Clinic, Medical Mobile and Teen and Young Adult Health Center West. The schedule will be 40 hours per week; generally, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with one position at 30 hours per week.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, OR must be actively pursuing a high school diploma/GED
• Medical Assistant diploma required; current AAMA certification preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within first 30 days of employment.
• Certified Medication Aide required within first three months of employment.
• Phlebotomy Certificate preferred.
• Prior healthcare experience preferred.
• Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office products required; experience with an Electronic Health Record preferred.
• Proficiency in English required for all locations; proficiency in Spanish required or preferred depending on clinic location and need.
• Demonstrated ability to relate with warmth and empathy to OneWorld patients and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Flexibility with changing work schedules required.
