Cherokee County is home to two of our community healthcare centers. Nestled in the Southeast corner of Kansas, one is a charming city that offers a taste of small-town life with big-city amenities. Holding a strong connection to its location on Route 66, it is often referred to as the “Main Street of America,” and is home to multiple historic landmarks as well as local eateries and shops celebrating its heritage. Just 15 miles from Pittsburg, Kansas, this town combines the best of both worlds—peaceful, local living with easy access to nearby amenities. The town boasts an array of local restaurants, boutique shops, and a genealogy library that showcases its historical roots. Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy, with several parks, a city pool, and a disc golf course. Home to the Cherokee County Fair and has also proudly hosted the renowned Hot Air Balloon Regatta every October for over 52 years, drawing visitors from near and far.
